Fall TV Preview

As school commences and the leaves begin to change, TV shows are returning with fresh, new seasons. The hottest shows returning this fall include “Gossip Girl,” “The Office,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “House” and “NCIS.”
“Gossip Girl”
Last season, “Gossip Girl” left viewers with a few leads concerning this season’s drama. Power couple Chuck and Blair finally got together, Carter tempted the fabulous Serena with information about her father, and the show introduced the love child of Lily Bass and Rufus Humphrey. How will the love child’s role play out? Will Chuck and Blair make their relationship last during “Gossip Girl’s” third season? Will the audience learn more about Mr. Van Der Woodson? How will Jenny’s reign as queen bee go? How will the rest of the characters adjust to college life? Based on the premiere, this season is off to a fantastic start. “Gossip Girl” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
“The Office”
Michael Scott and the Scranton crew are back and as funny as ever. “The Office” started off with a hilarious premiere titled “Gossip” in which rumors ran wild as a result of Michael feeling left out of the workplace’s gossip. The second episode did not display the show’s typical hilarity, but it did mention details about Jim and Pam’s wedding. This season will hopefully include Pam’s pregnancy, Jim’s and Pam’s wedding, more office hook-ups, and of course more Dunder Mifflin shenanigans. “The Office” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
“Grey’s Anatomy”
“Grey’s Anatomy” premiered last Thursday with two episodes starting at 9 p.m. Season six began with a bang. The news of George’s death rocks the Seattle Grace staff. Also, this will probably be actress Katherine Heigl’s last season with the show and her character will most likely be eased off the show. “Grey’s Anatomy” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
“House”
Last season, Fox’s popular medical drama “House” left viewers with Dr. House being sent to a mental institution. This season will deal with the good doctor’s treatment for Vicodin dependency, House’s relationship with Dr. Cuddy, and the slew of medical crises that are bound to happen. “House” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
“NCIS”
Lastly, CBS’s “NCIS” premiered last Tuesday and began what looks to be an exciting seventh season. The NCIS crew will start interviewing for Ziva’s replacement and trying to move on after her abrupt departure. The next few episodes will hopefully shed light on Ziva, her situation, and the team’s reaction to it. The season premiere reminded its audience why it is one of the most popular shows on TV. NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
