Following the results of Tuesday night’s election, many University of Mary Washington students raised concerns about the way forward. On the morning of Thursday, Nov. 10, the UMW SGA offered a statement to address concerns and promote unity:

Fredericksburg, VA, November 10, 2016– We, the Diversity and Unity Coordinating Committee stand to show that we are here for all members of the University of Mary Washington community, it is with great pride we seek to provide a safe and secure learning and social environment. If you are in need of a safe space or have any concerns that you would like to voice, we are more than willing to provide those to anyone that seeks such services. May happiness and peace be upon you all.
