The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors are arguably the best two teams in the league. These two teams have met in the finals the last two years, and are expected to meet again this year. The Cavaliers faced the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the  playoffs, however, they were no match for King James and the Cavaliers. The Indiana Pacers lost in game four of this series with a score of 106-102.

With that being said, the Cleveland was the first team in the 2016-17 NBA playoffs to advance to the second round. It is pretty clear LeBron is focused on adding another ring to his collection by the level he is currently playing at. Over the last two games, he scored 74 points with 23 rebounds and 16 assists. If he doesn’t put up those numbers, his team doesn’t win, and as you seen over the past years all LeBron is focused on is winning.

This man has appeared in the postseason for twelve consecutive years, and his teams have never lost an opening-round series. This is the seventh time his team has swept the competition in the opening round. Also, LeBron  has won twenty-one straight first-round playoff games. LeBron James could potentially be the best player to ever touch a basketball if continues to put up numbers like this.

The second team to advance to the second round of the playoffs was the Golden State Warriors. Like the Cavaliers, the Warriors swept their opponent in four games, sending the Portland Trail Blazers home rather early with a 128-103 victory. Despite their loss, Damian Lillard and C.J McCollum played great basketball in this series, and their future looks extremely bright. However, like the Cleveland and Indiana series, Steph and the Warriors were just too much for the Trail Blazers. In game four, Stephen Curry led the way with 37 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Also, he went 7-11 from behind the arc, which is pretty good.

Like LeBron , Stephen Curry has already broke records in the NBA, and is a two-time MVP. However, Curry didn’t have a great season compared to his previous ones. This could be because of Golden State’s new addition Kevin Durant, who was also the MVP in 2014. Unfortunately, due to injuries he has only played two games thus far in the playoffs. On the bright side, he is said to be fully recovered and looking forward to the second round. If these two teams end up meeting in the finals again we are in for a big treat.
