Theft

UMW Police reported a grand larceny of a set of Beats audio headphones stolen from the second floor of Simpson Library between 7:50 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2012.

UMW Police responded to a grand larceny from a room at Bushnell Hall where a Mac Book Pro, iPad, calculator, textbooks, Beats headphones and other items were stolen between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2012. The case is pending.

Textbooks were stolen in a petit larceny from Randolph Hall between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2012. The case is pending.

A petit larceny of $40-$50 in cash was taken from a student’s wallet in Randolph Hall on Dec. 12, 2012. The case is pending.

UMW Police responded to a grand larceny of a Nikon camera from the President’s Box at the Anderson Center between 12 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2012 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2012. The case is pending.

Eight rooms were burglarized in Virginia Hall at 4:20 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2012. Multiple items were stolen from each room, including a $200 necklace and gaming system, resulting in a grand larceny. Many of the rooms were ransacked and there was damage to a window. The case is pending.

Fredericksburg Police reported a larceny from a vehicle on the 900 Block of Cornell St. at 7:30 a.m. between Jan. 4, 2013 and Jan. 6, 2013.

Fredericksburg Police reported a larceny from a vehicle on the 900 Block of Cornell St. between 12:05 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2013.

A UMW employee’s wallet was reported stolen as a petit larceny from Combs Hall between 2:30 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2013. The case is pending.

Campus Police responded to a vehicle theft on the Alvey Drive Parking Deck at 7:58 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2013. The case was later found unfounded, as the car operator left the vehicle in another campus lot.

Fredericksburg Police reported a larceny from a vehicle on the 1200 block of Seacobeck Street at 7 a.m. between Jan. 16, 2013 and Jan. 17, 2013.

A break and enter was reported in DuPont Hall that led to a grand larceny between 11:20 p.m. on Jan. 16, 2013 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2013. A few professors’ offices were broken into and fundraising money stolen. There was more than $1,000 of damage.

 

Vandalism

The card reader for the gate of the Eagle Landing Courtyard was vandalized between 12:01 a.m. and 2:13 a.m. on Dec. 8. 2012. The case is pending.

The hood and driver’s side of a parked vehicle were keyed and scratched at the Alvey Drive Parking Deck between 8 a.m. on Dec. 10, 2012 and 1 a.m. on Dec. 11, 2012. The case is pending.

The door and a window of Trinkle Hall Room B52 were found smashed and broken on Dec. 11, 2012. The case is pending.

A window in the Jefferson Hall stairwell was found broken on Dec. 12, 2012. The case is pending.

A vandalism of a vehicle was reported on the first level of the Alvey Drive Parking Deck between 1:45 a.m. and 2:47 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2012. The case is pending.

A fire extinguisher was discharged in the hallway of Bushnell Hall at 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 14, 2013. The case is pending.

A trashcan was set on fire by the dumpsters behind Jefferson Hall at 2:55 on Jan 15, 2013. The case is pending.

Fredericksburg Police reported a vandalized vehicle on the 2000 Block of College Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Jan. 16, 2013.

Vandalism of a card reader on the Eagle Village parking deck was reported at 1:13 p.m. on Jan. 19, 2013. The case is pending.

Campus Police reported damage of the door to the bike storage room in Mason Hall at 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2012. The case is pending.

 

Nuisance

Two 21-year-old UMW students were arrested for violation of the noise ordinance on Dec. 10, 2012.

A student received an administrative referral for disorderly conduct in the Eagle Landing lot at 8 p.m. on Jan. 18, 2013. The student was intoxicated and found arguing with another student.

 

Liquor Law Violations

A student was found asleep and intoxicated on a bench outside of the Anderson Center between 12:27 a.m. and 1:01 a.m. on Dec. 8, 2012 and needed a medical transport to the Mary Washington Hospital. The student received an administrative referral for underage public intoxication.

Two students received administrative referrals for underage intoxication. One in Arrington Hall at 11:35 p.m. on Jan. 18, 2013, and the other in Jefferson Hall at 12:39 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2013.

Three 18-year-old UMW students were arrested for underage possession of alcohol on Jan. 18, 2013.

Two UMW students, ages 19 and 20, were arrested for underage possession of alcohol on Jan. 22, 2013.

 

Drugs

A student received an administrative referral after being found in possession of narcotics in Mason Hall between 12:37 p.m. and 2:01 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2012.

Campus Police stopped a student at the intersection of College Avenue and William Street for riding a moped down the sidewalk between 9:40 p.m. and 10:41 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2012. The officer who stopped the rider reported a narcotics violation after the subject produced prescription pills. The case is pending.

Administrative referrals were given to two students in possession of marijuana on the first floor of Eagle Landing at 1:10 a.m. on Jan. 15, 2013.

Seven UMW students, ages 18 and 19, were arrested for possession of marijuana on Jan. 22, 2013.

 

Violence

Campus Police reported a case of domestic violence on the 1300 block of College Avenue at 5:10 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2012. Fredericksburg Police arrested a UMW student after he assaulted his mother at the UMW Apartments. Police suspected intoxication and witnesses had seen the student aggressively yelling at his mother.

UMW student John Adams, 21, was arrested for domestic assault and battery, public intoxication and abduction on Dec. 17, 2012.
