“In a group, respect both its rules and the boundaries of each person in the group. If everyone works together, they will reach understanding through communication. I went to a high school where there was no ethnic majority. Growing up like that teaches you to learn how to interact in respectful ways. Special education also taught us to be tolerant of people’s differences.”

“Always do the right thing. No matter what. I was in the military before I came to school, and now I live by their values. Having a hard work ethic and integrity is important.”
