Giant Production’s annual “Rocktoberfest” hits Ball Circle this Friday, Oct 2.  From 5 to 7 p.m., Allman’s Barbecue will be serving free barbecue while headlining act, We the Kings, serve up their loud brand of pop-rock.        Emerging from Florida in 2007 on the heels of their debut, self-titled album, band members Travis Clark, Hunter and Drew Thomsen, and Danny Duncan haven’t wasted any time, already cracking the Billboard 200 with their best-known single, “Check Yes Juliet” and receiving several VMA nominations.  Having toured with popular bands such as Boys Like Girls, Fall Out Boy and All Time Low, We the Kings are sure to rock out at Mary Wash with a loud, upbeat and well-honed live performance.
We the Kings play an edgier brand of pop that piggybacks off last year’s act, The Cab.  Junior Kris Ratliff, a Giant Member, thinks the band will make a good impression on campus.  “It’s going to be so loud, you’ll hear it all over campus,” he said.
