Strasburg Impresses

The first overall pick from the 2009 MLB draft and what some have claimed to be the possible “savior” for the Washington Nationals was very impressive in his Arizona Fall League debut.
The Nationals gave Strasburg a 50- pitch limit in his first appearance in the league and that got him through 3 1/3 innings. The youngster surrendered just two hits and one walk as he gave up no runs and earned the win in the outing.
Washington’s top prospect reportedly threw 32 of his 50 pitches for strikes and his fastball touched 99 MPH on a couple of occasions.
“It was a great feeling. I was extremely excited to go out there,” Strasburg said.
While Strasburg may have been excited for his Fall League debut, it is nothing to what the excitement is in Washington for the 21-year-old fire ballers MLB debut, as fans hope that the promising pitcher can blossom into one of the league’s best and lead the Nationals back to respectability and give the team hope for the future.
