‘Crazy Stupid Love’ Bringing Hot Guys in Fancy Suits to Cheap Seats This Weekend

If “The Office” hasn’t been able to fill your need for Steve Carell, or you’ve been missing Ryan Gosling’s abs, this might just be your weekend. “Crazy Stupid Love” is coming to this week’s Cheap Seats and if you haven’t seen it I suggest you grab some friends, maybe even a date, and hand over the $1 to see it.

Filled with a star-studded cast, it combines all the great aspects of any movie, love, comedy, beautiful men in nice suits, gorgeous women and an unpredictable twist.

Cal’s (Steve Carrell) life falls apart when his wife Emily (Julianne Moore) throws a double whammy his way by both admitting that she’s been having an affair and asking for a divorce.

Ending up at a bar and drinking his sorrows away, while whining to anyone that will listen, we are introduced to Jacob (Ryan Gosling), who dresses to impress and has the skills to get any woman into bed. Eventually forming a friendship, Jacob teaches Cal the ways of becoming a certified player, including a scene reminiscent of the famous “Pretty Woman” shopping trip – man-style.

The plot is quick-moving and filled with plenty of laughs and gasps. While living up the single life style Cal realizes that he is still in love with his wife and wants her back.

The film doesn’t exclusively follow Cal though, as viewers also get glimpses into the life of Jacob and his relationship with Hannah (Emma Stone), as well as Cal’s son Robbie (Jonah Bobo) who is in love with his babysitter, Jessica (Analeigh Tipton) who is in turn in love with Cal.

This awkward love triangle forms one of the movies best assets. Cal’s son Robbie is a love-struck teenage boy who has acquired forbidden love for the much older Hannah and is willing to show his love in anyway including an embarrassing public announcement.

“Crazy, Stupid, Love” is a movie filled with heartwarming moments between family and friends without being cheesy. The acting is strong and the dialogue is riveting.

The plot was refreshing and hasn’t been overdone with a shocking twist that comes out of nowhere, as a movie-goer it was refreshing to actually be surprised in a movie that didn’t have a predictable plot.

This movie is entertaining and the character development is strong. So go out and see it, see what the fuss is about, and enjoy the multitudes of one-liners by Steve Carrell and Ryan Gosling and take note of the tailored suits ladies and gents; they both look smashing in them.
