Staff Ed: Satire makes return appearance in BGP’s annual April Fool’s edition
1 min readBy THE BLUE & GRAY PRESS
Once a year, the editorial staff of The Blue & Gray Press honors a longstanding tradition by releasing an April Fool’s issue to the community. This year is no different.
While we at the Blue & Gray pride ourselves on maintaining a professional student newspaper, we believe it is important to be able to express ourselves differently through satirical pieces that in some way reflect aspects of the school that many can relate to.
While these articles are published content, they are not to be taken seriously or as accurate depictions of any aspects of our campus community.
Designed to harmlessly poke fun at organizations, people, events and other aspects of our campus, the sole purpose of the April Fool’s edition of The Blue & Gray Press is to provide readership with a few laughs.
We understand the responsibilities and powers we maintain as an editorial staff of an important news platform. We hope that all can enjoy the humor of the articles and take them for nothing more.
Every April Fool’s article contains a disclosure at the bottom of the article online for reference and at the top of the page in print. We hope that all can join us in celebrating the gift of laughter conveyed through such satirical articles. Thank you and we hope you enjoy.
Was that Sarah Teague article a joke?
